Game Rules and Regulations

1. Players must be at least 21 years of age and must be able to provide identification if requested..

2. Players will play according to PPL’s blind structure until one player remains and has accumulated all the chips.

 3. At the beginning of the session players will draw for dealer. The highest card will win the deal and the players to the left of the dealer will assume the big and small blind positions. If two players draw the same card the suit will decide who will assume the button. High card by suit is in descending alphabetical order.

 (Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs)

 4. Players that arrive will be allowed to play, but will be shorted $200 in chips if arriving during 25/50 blinds, $300 if arriving during 50/75 blinds and $400 if arriving during 75/100 blinds or the duration of the 10 minute break. Any players that arrive after the break is over will not be able to play the session. Late arriving players will also have to post the big blind regardless of their position at the table and as well as the already assumed big and small blinds.

 5. Players are obligated to take their blinds. In the situation of the small blind being eliminated there would be a dead small. If the big blind is eliminated the player to the left would then assume the big blind. There is never a dead big blind, but their can be a dead dealer or dead small blind if either of those are eliminated.

 6. New players will be dealt into the hand immediately unless they have sat into the small blind or dealer positions. If so, they must wait for the deal to pass them and then will be able to play. If a player sits into the big blind position they must post their big blind and will be dealt in immediately.

 7. If a player is absent from the table he will still be dealt into the hand and will be required to post his/her blinds.

 8. If players are reseated to a table and more than ½ of the players are new, all players will redraw for dealer and then assume action. The final table in each tournament will redraw for dealer position.

 9. When only two players remain the player due to assume the big blind will do so and the other player will assume both the small blind and dealer button.

 10. Players must keep their cards and chips above the table at all times.

 11. When a player mucks (throws away) their cards those cards must remain in the muck pile for the duration of the hand.

 12. If at any time a players cards hit the muck pile the hand is deemed dead and must remain in the muck pile.

 13. No string betting. Players must decide what amount they will be betting or raising with before placing their bet. After placing a bet they may not reach back to their chips and add on.

14. When raising, the raise must be at least equal to the either the big blind or the previous players raise.

 Raise Examples:

                   Pre- Flop Example

1)     Small Blind = 25, Big Blind = 50. First raise must make the bet at least 100 (double the big blind, raise was 50) 2nd raise must be at least another 50, 2nd bet would be 150 or more.

2)     Small Blind = 100, Big blind = 200. First raise must make the bet at least 400

(double the big blind, raise was 200) 2nd raise must be at least another 200, 2nd bet would be 600 or more.

Post- Flop Example

1)     Big Blind was 50. 1st player bets 75, 2nd player raises to 275 ( 200 is the raise) 3rd player must go to at least 475 ( double the 200 raise).

 All In Under Raise Example

1)     Player 1 bets 100. Player 2 raises to 400. Player 3 goes all in with 450. The next to act must complete the raise to 700. If multiple players call the 700 bet a side pot will occur.

15. Proper etiquette is expected from all players. Inappropriate behavior can result in the eviction of players.

16. NO MONEY ON THE TABLE!!! Placing any from of currency on a PPL table is considered illegal and can be punished with  immediate eviction from the game.

17. No blind straddle bets.

 18. Chips are non transferable to any other player.

 19. PPL reserves the right to refuse service at any time at its sole discretion.

 20. The decisions of the tournament director are final.
